In addition, the fibers and appropriate consistency of Cavia Complete make it highly digestible for guinea pigs. The extruded pellets are low in calories. Supplementing the Complete feed mixture with essential vitamins supports overall health. Vitamin A is important for skin cell renewal, vision, reproduction, and metabolism. Vitamin D3 stimulates calcium/phosphorus uptake and thus supports bone health. Vitamins E and C are important antioxidants that protect the body from free radicals.
