This dog food supports kidney function. It contains a reduced protein content, which supports the utilization of amino acids and reduces the production of nitrogenous waste products, including urea. This food is formulated with a low phosphorus content to prevent kidney overload. Calcium carbonate has also been added, which can absorb phosphorus from food and reduce its absorption. The formula is enriched with salmon oil, which, in addition to providing adequate energy for dogs with nephropathy, contains valuable long-chain fatty acids (including EPA and DHA) essential for better kidney function.
