The food has a dual action:
Mechanical action: the specially developed size, texture and shape of Oral Care croquettes encourage the cat to chew vigorously, which provides a mechanical cleaning effect to promote the removal of plaque.
Chemical action: formulation containing calcium chelating compounds ("Active Dental Agent") that bind calcium contained in saliva, making it unavailable for plaque mineralisation.
