How to teach a dog to be clean?
Learning to be clean doesn't have to be difficult! Stock up on the 8in1 cleanliness mats and consistently follow our tips.
Take the mat out of the packaging and unfold it with the white side up, away from the dog's bed and food. The dog must have access to the mat 24 hours a day.
Place your pet on the mat to smell the grass. A dog absorbed by the smell of the mat will want to satisfy its physiological needs on it.
Reward your pet when it uses the mat! If you notice that he does his business elsewhere, take him straight to the mat.
As the days go by, move towards the exit door with the mat so that the puppy starts to signal his physiological needs by approaching the door.
Watch the dog and react if it communicates that it wants to leave.
After vaccinations, you will be faced with defecating outside during walks. However, mats can be useful if the puppy is left alone in the house and you do not have time to go out in time, e.g. after bedtime.
