Tropical Aqua Care aquarium preparations facilitate the setting up and maintenance of the aquarium. They are a source of trace elements, essential for the proper functioning of fish organisms, and nutrients for aquatic plants, ensuring their lush growth and healthy appearance. An important group of preparations are those for treating and preparing tap water for aquarium purposes. This is important because most aquarists use tap water disinfected with chlorine or its compounds, which are toxic to fish. Such water requires special treatment to make it safe for aquarium inhabitants.

Aquacid pH Minus is intended for lowering the water pH in general and breeding aquaria. Water with an acidic pH is typical for many biotopes inhabited by popular aquarium fish, e.g. paletas, scalars, South American cichlids, benthic fish, etc. Maintaining a low water pH for many fish species is indispensable to keep them fit and healthy, to enhance their colours, to bring about spawning and hatching of eggs. Aquacid pH Minus does not contain phosphoric acid, which can cause massive algae growth in the aquarium. When dosing directly into the aquarium, we recommend constant monitoring of the water pH with an aquarium test - the pH change over the course of a day should not be greater than 0.2-0.3 pH. However, the safest solution is to prepare the water to be changed outside the aquarium and then gradually change it in the aquarium tank.

Add the product gradually to the aquarium, stirring the water continuously with a filter and monitoring the water reaction with the pH-test 6.0-7.8 or the pH-test 4.5-9.5. A safe pH change for the fish is no more than 0.2-0.3 pH per day. This value should not be exceeded. For the safety of the aquarium inhabitants, we recommend dosing the preparation into the water intended for water changes (do not apply it directly into the aquarium). Aquacid pH Minus can be used simultaneously with Torfin Complex, Querex and Ketapang Extract.
Caution: Do not use at the same time with other aquarium preparations (except those mentioned above). Use other products after a minimum of one day.
