Ketapang Extract is an extract from the leaves of the sea almond tree (Terminalia catappa) intended for the preparation of water to facilitate the breeding of ornamental fish and shrimp. It introduces natural tannins and humic acids into the water, making its parameters similar to the natural biotope of fish living in black waters. The prophylactic properties of sea almond leaves have been used in natural medicine for centuries. Asian ornamental fish breeders use sea almond leaves to protect their eggs, which significantly improves the hatching and survival rates of the fry. In aquariums where the leaves are used, skin problems occur sporadically in fish. It is also rare to see fish rubbing against aquarium equipment and decorations. In addition, there has been a decrease in the number of fish diseases caused by microorganisms. Fish and shrimp in water with ketapang leaf extract are more beautifully colored, in better condition, and more willing to reproduce.
