This dog food is specifically designed to reduce struvite kidney stones. It contains a low percentage of high-quality crude protein to reduce the amount of urea available to bacteria in the urine and prevent urinary tract infections. It has a reduced magnesium and potassium content to limit the formation of struvite crystals. Urine acidifying properties are achieved thanks to the presence of ammonium chloride and DL-methionine.
